Honestly was the best hotel I could’ve picked. It made every night feel cozy. And the complimentary water bottles came in clutch 😂! Everything is near by, if not then transportation around the hotel is also really close. Will be back !

The front staff is amazing, had a last minute change of mind about the room I book and they upgraded us on spot. Everyone there is amazing and very helpful! The hotel its self is at a prime location and only a few minutes walk away from the attractions in Chicago. The valet service was good and very handy in a busy city like Chicago.

Property is right on the river walk, great location, easy to walk around and Uber from hotel to other locations. Rooms are pretty small and very outdated. Our TV did not connect to the cable, so we were unable to watch the TV our entire stay. It didn’t connect to our phones either to stream. We did contact maintenance, it connected and 10 minutes later disconnected and still did not work.. bummer. None of the rooms had the ability to heat, only cooling options, so if you need to get warm you have to call downstairs for a portable heater. Was not a bad stay for the price but too many inconveniences.

Close/walking distance to a ton of restaurants and shopping. Hotel restaurant has been closed down. View was of a wall of the building a couple feet from the window. I suppose everything was clean but definitely did not live up to the photos. Probably the worst hotel mattress I’ve slept on? Mostly just felt like springs.

I traveled with my husband and we had a great stay here. Room was small but we really were only in the room to sleep. Excellent location, valet was great and staff were very friendly. Would definitely stay here again next time we visit Chicago.

A nice stay. Parking is expensive but expected since they don’t allow overnight parking downtown period. Very convenient areas everything is walking distance. Lots to do a really nice trip. 10/10 recommend

We had two small dogs. I paid $260 for the room and $80 for our pets for one night. The room was tiny and the one chair was ripped up by a previous pet. We had to pay $50 for valet parking due to no surface parking in DT Chicago

I thought the property was good--the front desk people were amazing. The biggest complaint is the parking. I paid for parking and it was relatively far away-seemed like other parking garages were closer. **PERFECT location -shops, bars and restaurants extremely walkable.

The River Hotel was a beautiful place to stay downtown Chicago. Although not spacious, our room was very modern and comfortable. The location was perfect for our stroll along the Chicago Riverwalk. Would definitely return when in the area.

I booked two of the smallest rooms, the price is really unbeatable. The staff is great. I decided to valet park my car, it was $52 for the night, but it was 1 o’clock in the morning and I didn’t want to hassle with self parking three blocks away. The check-in process was easy, including the valet. Unfortunately, the room we had didn’t have personal air-conditioning like Expedia says. When I asked the front desk about that, they said the building is on one air-conditioning system, and I still don’t understand how that works. I had the central fan on in my room and my room got up to 75° during the evening. I guess I was under the impression I should’ve not put the fan on which would’ve allowed the air from the building into my room. I still don’t understand. The only other issue was it took 45 minutes to get my car out of valet. That’s just too long. I realize they get busy but, if I would’ve known that, I would’ve just parted myself the night before. It’s hard to nitpick this hotel to much because of the location and the price they charge. I think I would stay here again, but I would definitely get one of the larger rooms and park the car myself.
