"We stayed a week here and thoroughly enjoyed it. It's a short walk to the main streets of Amboise but in a quiet location. The lounge is a beautiful place to have a drink before dinner and the fireplace was running the first night we were there. Our room (5) was huge and very pretty two bedrooms, a day bed, two bathrooms, but both bathrooms were in the smaller bedroom (and only one had a toilet). Not sure that would work for two couples traveling together but probably fine for a family with...

If you are looking for 5stars probably not for you, but if you are seeking hospitality and the real flavor or France then I highly recommend you to stay here! The house sits below a cliff and the pool sits on top of cliff for wonderful views. The pool and sauna staircase was tunneled into the cliff 1000 years ago. The sauna sits in a carved out room in the rock cliff for a one of a kind experience. It has a very calming vibe! Enjoy your breakfast...

"Restaurant service needs to improve. Dinner service was very slow and we had to ask twice for drinks, they just totally forgot about it. However food was delicious. Buffet breakfast was poor, not worth the price. We noticed a big group having breakfast before us, so basically we had to eat leftovers, for example only one piece of cheese was left and the staff didn't added more cheeses, scramble eggs were cold, not a good bread selection, no fruits. Nobody care to ask if we need something. "

"Once you're in the room, its very clean and has everything you need. But the exterior is off-putting with a fence around the facility and only one way in/out. We made the mistake of staying several nights thinking the location would be convenient, but working with the limitations of the autoroute was challenging... either using the help button and paying a high toll or taking a long path around and needing to walk through several gates and around the building to get to the room."
