There were some mice running about and we did find droppings in the bed, although the house was otherwise very clean and well appointed. "When Mieke welcomed us, we felt immediately at home she couldn't have done more to make us feel at home and this continued through the week, checking on us and providing us with cooling fans, advice on places to see and anything else we needed. The property rustic with huge amount of character. It is in a very rural quiet setting but within an easy drive of places of interest in the Dordogne and Vezere valleys. Would definitely recommend if traditional is what you are after."

"The property was ideal for us, great enclosed garden for our dog. Kathy was very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation is quite rustic which is reflected in the price. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone with a dog. Very close to Sarlat which is beautiful . A short walk up the hill brought us to a lovely village and church which was beautiful.Follow the yellow signs in the village for a lovely circular walk back to the property via a bar, shop and cafe."

"The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was a bit difficult, but was just as it had been described. Our only complaint was the old wooden support beams in our room (room 36). In both the bedroom and the bathroom, these supprt beams took up room and were low enough for a tal person to need to stoop down to pass them. Ii guess it's the charm of modern retrofitting of an older structure. "
