"My stay was a short overnight layover between flights from Xining, China as I traveled back to the US. Personnel at the Reception Desk were friendly and very helpful speaking excellent English. "Terrible conditions: curtain is broken, window plopped up with a bottle , no shower stall, shower water pour over the toilet. Smell heavily smoking! We couldn’t find front desk, it was a closed door room. You need to call the # posted at the door, which cost you an international call fee bcuz you don’t have local phone. I booked 2 beds, manager gave me one bed, when I showed him my reservation, he had someone else kicked out so we could have their 2 beds room."

"Gracie Art Hotel was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for my short visit to Beijing. It is located right on the edge of the 798 Art Zone which offers a lot, although it seemed like most attractions close pretty early and the lighting on the paths late at night is very dim. The staff was very helpful in checking me in and ordering cabs and finding late night food or drinks. Would recommend!"
