"Nice lady at check in, sheets were not changed and the room was not clean when we arrived. Apparently the cleaning lady had already gone home and I believe the lady that checked us in cleaned the room and changed the bed. Our cabin was nice but the overall property is kinda run down and rough. "

"Our stay at the Beeches was absolutely wonderful. Everything we needed was there, there was a lovely fireplace which kept the house toasty on the entirety of our stay, completely covered the upstairs bedrooms with warmth as well. Lovely balcony’s on both sides of the house where you can enjoy a coffee and a book. There was a very kind neighbour who helped us with some car issues we were having. "Wow! What a space! The drive up is rather intense and I wonder if maybe there should be a warning when booking like other spaces have? Otherwise it was almost otherworldly when we arrived in the thick fog and woke in the morning to wonderful scenery. Definitely recommend "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay surrounded by blooming manuka and blissful quiet. The cabin was ideal. Two cautions: nearby hikes are on private property and incur hefty fees for each visit, and extra fees for linen are charged per person and seemed on the high side."

Beds were comfortable and the woodburner kept us warm. Enjoyed birds serenading us by day and star-watching while soaking in spa at night. Loved exploring the alpine environment."
