"Perfect place to have access to trails. Transport is essential and suggest a small car as the roads are very narrow and lots of bends. We loved the villa and it’s very well equipped with a great wee pool for your aching legs after trail walking."

"This home was truly the highlite of our trip to The Canary Islands. The location is nestled in the hills of Tegueste amongst small farms and vinyards. There are plenty of local stores and resturants with in a short drive. The neighbors and locals were so welcoming and friendly even with my lack of spanish. The hosts Amanda and Miguel were so responsive and attentive that we felt completely taken care of and safe. Miguel even provided some home grown avacados when we checked in. The views...

"Famara is beautiful but the apartment was very disappointing. The 'double' bed is tiny, hardly big enough for 2 slim people & the twin beds had old bobbly sheets & pillowcases & not nice to the touch. The 'sofa' was not comfortable & the kitchen, dining, lounge space is very tight. The next door neighbours had a young puppy crying in their back yard day & night & as animal lovers listening to this right outside the bedroom window was very upsetting."

"Marcos and Karin are phenomenal hosts. They go out of their way to make sure that your stay is as comfortable as possible. I was traveling alone but when they saw I was up to socialize, we had many great evenings chatting over wine. The property is better than the photos, it is beautiful and quiet and overlooks amazing scenery. They are thoughtful in their details and clearly care about the property and experience. I cannot say enough good things, just go find out for yourself!"

"The property was perfect in every way. Unfortunately the satnav couldn't find the house. We phoned the owner who didn't speak English and I don't speak Spanish. We found a taxi rank and asked them to take us and we would follow and pay them. He couldn't find it either, so he spoke to the owner who came and met us and we followed him. He was very helpful - considering it was now midnight!! Other than this everything else was great. A very steep climb down to the town."

"If you want house without electricity an hot water - welcome to this property - you will "enjoy" your stay. At first I want to explain that Valsequillo is, I think, the coldest place in gran canaria. If in Puerto Rico is 26 degrees, in Valsequillo is 14. But weather is not a problem. House is very cold. There is 3 heaters, but you can use only 1 at time, if you use 2 - electricity is going down. And if you want to cook - you must disconnect heater - because electricity is going down. I was...

"A wonderfully characterful place to stay , charmingly decorated with stunning views over to La Gomera. It's on a peaceful banana plantation and a short walk to the sea where there are tidal pools and beaches for swimming. The nearby (unspoilt) town of Alcalá is a pleasant 15 minute walk along the coast. A perfect place to unwind. The hosts provide you with free bananas, papaya and even shared organic vegetables from their garden."

"Lovely, stylish old house, just right size for a couple. Kitchen is small but equipped well enough for cooking, shower is great, terrace is great for eating and sunbathing, and it even has a washing machine. Track to the house is a bit of a drive, so allow bit of extra time to go out. Only thing I'd suggest adding are some wine glasses and a cork screw! oh and another dinner plate. Would book again :)"
