"hotel in extensive grounds near delightful beach"
This is more like a resort than an hotel. Rooms are in 3 storey blocks in a kilometre of landscaped grounds. There are a lot of rooms but the site is so large that you rarely see many people. you can walk around the site or be driven (by staff) in golf buggies.
Breakfast is simply lovely with an enormous choice and an army of chefs and waiters.
We enjoyed our stay here (again) and will return in the future. I stay regularly in hotels and one thing is apparent here - any variation is possible but you have to pay for it. Nothing is complimentary.
We stayed for 3 nights and though our junior suite was expensive it was large with a great bathroom, air conditioning and a large balcony. Worth every penny.
"Good value, excellent location, on a lovely beach."
I booked this as a cheap, short break and due to the cost, my expectations were fairly low. This hotel surpassed them all. It was scrupulously clean, well run and amazing value for money.
The food catered to all tastes, was freshly cooked and plentiful.
The All Inclusive option included Cocktails and wine and beer on tap in the dining room. The sprits measures were huge, yet I never encountered a single drunk! The clientele in late September were older couples and families with young children. There were daily activities for the more active and nightly entertainment. The hotel is located right on a sandy cove with clear shallow water to swim or paddle in. There are plenty of free sun beds round the three pools, which are all only footsteps from a bar.
There are numerous shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets a five minute stroll away.
A small 'Tourist Train' shuttles between other beaches and the Marina and town of Cala D'Or. The stop is just at the rear of the Hotel up steps leading from the pool to the road. It costs 2 Euros each way. There is also a local bus service. For the more energetic it is about a thirty minute walk.
There are lots of shops in Cala D'Or, leather goods are a good buy, perfumes and cosmetics less so. Try to visit Cala D'Ice for amazing ice cream, milk shakes and coffees.
There is also a Fish Pedi-Spa which costs a fraction of the price in the UK and includes a free glass of Cava.
The hotel was very child friendly.
We booked this hotel for a break for a wedding and were all so impressed. Apartments are fantastic, staff lovely. Pool great, although initially cold! Lol... We had no background information of the place so went in blind and were so pleased. The ages of our party ranged from 6-69 and all loved it!
Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. Stylish clean rooms, good size balconies and lovely lush grounds. Pool area is gorgeous, with cabanas and loungers in gardens so you can always find a spot in the sun. Good location for going for a walk to get an icecream or to the beach. 10 mins from restaurants so not very noisy on an evening, could hear some music when on the balcony but silent when the door was shut. Plenty of room for car parking.
"Excellent hotel positioned perfectly, hidden gem."
Great holiday, great hotel, brilliant choice of food at breakfast and dinner. Great choice of beaches close by, lots of sunbeds, not to busy, just right, amazing weather in September, going back next year.... Recommended....
