"From the wonderful staff to the central location this hotel never missed a beat. The lobby and hotel bars are historic but most of the rooms are in the annex which were clean and wonderfully modern with a large bathroom. My mother has mobility issues and really appreciated the tub/bench set up in the shower. "

"The Crowne is centrally located on a square that is a short distance to the main market square. The hotel service was excellent and the room was clean. Parking is located on site in a lower garage. Be sure to check out the archeological area in the basement below the lobby. "

"Dukes Palace hotel fulfilled all of our requirements, unfortunately the centre of Bruges caterers just for tourists and this was a great disappointment to us. When we travel we wish to experience how the local people live, eat and drink and unfortunately this was not accessible without moving outside of the tourist zone. Such a shame. Ulm in southern Germany has been a much more enjoyable visit. We will return to Ulm but will not need to visit Bruges ever again."

This is a smaller hotel, 1 block from the beach in Knokke and family run. The owners go out of their way to make you feel welcome and at home. They are very accommodating with special requests. "Great location. Arrived late and place was locked but found directions to another hotel to gain access. (complexity for our trip) room was lovely and warm. Building was old and charismatic but there is a stair free newer annexe. Breakfast was a buffet style- cold meats cheeses etc- delicious. Hosts were lovely and friendly. Fabulous spot for exploring Bruges"
