We were there specifically to support a family member at BNH hospital which was 2 mins away . Pool great , food good but a tad expensive . Only real downfall was , not many eateries in walking distance .
I have been there 1st week of November 2014. Everything about the hotel is superb. The only minor complaint is their charging you for a small thing like a local phone call , or charging too much for a few hours late check out or a decent internet speed. I am more than willing to pay a few percent more on the room charge than to be charged for minor things.I really enjoyed staying there.
This is a great location for those who want something comfortable and affordable. It is very near to the big shopping malls and opposite Central world. Central World has many shops and eateries and a movie theatre. This is my second time staying here. There is also street market food stalls downstairs and another building just beside, which has cafes, restaurants, boots, other boutiques and BIG C, which is a huge hypermarket.
It was indeed a pleasant expereince given the traumatic events happening in Bangkok with protestors blocking the roads and the intersection. But instead of having violence and fear in the streets, it turned out to be one happy street party with games and stalls selling t shirts, memorablia, whistles and food. There was even free food given out and one has to put a donation although no obligation into the donation boxes provided. In the 2 evenings that I was there, there were street perfomances and rock concert happening directly under the sky bridge out of Asok station.
