This resort has ski-in/ski-out proximity to Snowmass Mountain and is bounded on three sides by White River National Forest. Snowmass Mountain is one of the four ski areas comprising Aspen/Snowmass. It has the highest summit (12,510 feet) and 3,100 acres of skiable terrain. Its 87 trails are accessible from 21 lifts, including seven high-speed quad chairs. Both Aspen Mountain (also known as Ajax) and Aspen Highlands are 12 miles south, and Buttermilk, home to Aspen's ski school, is seven miles south. Cross-country skiing, ice skating, and other winter sports also are available.

Summer activities, including mountain biking, whitewater rafting, hiking, and horseback riding, also are available. Nearby greens include the Snowmass Golf Course, three miles away, and Aspen Golf Course, six miles away.
