"Staying at Wakka is a complete delight! The infrastructure is buikt to be part of the natural environment. The staff are a delight. The bikes for rental are top quality. The half board meal is full of varieties and locally sourced ingredients. My biggest concern was the shared shower facility, but Wakka kept everything clean and spotless. It's simply a delightful place to stay in and rejuvenate. In fact, our family is planning another glamping stay with them again. "

"The guy that looked after us, Satoshi, was really nice and very accommodating- he didn't speak english and we didnt speak Japanese but we got by. It was end of season and very quiet feeling like we had the place to ourselves. It was clean and immaculate. The breakfast was beautifully presented and ample. He met uas at the station and dropped us off as well as taking us elsewhere as and when needed. A really good experience and we would return."

"Our stay at Hoshinoya fell short of expectations. Uncomfortable beds, stuffy rooms, and inadequate lighting marred the experience. Mediocre food and unresponsive massage therapy added to the disappointment. The hotel grounds were confusingly laid out, and the lack of beach loungers and presence of washed-up plastic bottles detracted from the beach experience. The insistence on proceeding with a kayaking tour during torrential rain, coupled with unjust charges upon checkout, further soured the...

"The property is amazing. Great staff, great villas, great food, very quiet and amazing sea view. Definitely recommend it with a few observations: - if you don’t have a scooter, access ain’t easy. Walking around is not an option and taxis take long / don’t accept the ride - it’s a forest property. There will be small animals like frogs and insects around. If you are too bothered, think twice - the shower was mostly cold and the water pressure weak. But the property manager said they would fix it...

"The lodge was absolutely wonderful. We honestly had not slept as well as we did at the lodge anywhere else in Japan. Not sure if it was the mountain air, the onsen, or the large rooms that allowed us to settle in and spread out. The hospitality was incredible; the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home, including by providing a bountiful breakfast each morning. My husband and I wish we could have stayed there our entire trip!"

"Lovely old bungalow. The butler service we had was exceptional. It’s cold at night so fires in rooms & hot water bottles in bed at night. Food really good. They don’t have a drink license so happy to serve your own. I just recommend you keep your gin in your room rather in their fridge. "

"Very conveiniently located for bird livers as only 600m to Rainforest Discovery Centre. Room is well designed with outsidet but secured toilets which is great for us as we could leave our cameras there during the night to avoid to ac condensation. Staff is hepful, food is ok. Only minus is the steps to reception and room."

"If you like a hotel with character this is the place for you. Reception staff were great, there is a pool where you can chill. Wifi was good and if you don't want to leave the grounds, nice reception rooms to read. Will be back.. "
