Ansal Plaza Hotels in Delhi, India

Very unfriendly staff. I had booked a room for 3 nights and had already told them at what time I would be checking in, still I had to wait for my room for about 30-40 mins in the lobby.

Hotel has small and compact rooms and bathrooms. The Hotel does not meet your expectations when you see that towel given to you are over used and Staff portrays a very casual approach in putting the Toiletiers in the bathroom (they try to avoid keeping any thing above soap , Unless asked) Staff is untrained and some of them behaves casually or roughly with little sense of courtsey . You should not expect freebies like coffee / tea pouch and sugar free unless asked for. In my case the door lock was not working , and even in closed door allows all the noises of the corridor through . The good points was if you ask for any thing it will be provided but no standards were followed as expected from this type of hotels. Coffee Machine in the room is old type with problems of finding a suitable electric points. Quality and taste of food is good , however the breakfast is a poor show . This hotel is OK and can be considered if you do not have other options , But In Delhi you have better options around this place in the same budget.

The Coronel's Retreat is a little oasis in New Delhi. Although it is a B&B, it is really more like a small boutique hotel. The pictures and reviews online were accurate.

It has been very good experiences whenever I stayed there. Breakfast is ok, not bad.

Although I had a confirmed reservation, at the time of check-in, I was told that there is no room available and they would be able to accommodate me only in an adjoining service apartment which has no eating facility. There was no dust bin in the room and the lights in the washroom were not in working condition. While the junior hotel staff were accommodative, they had to travel to and fro to serve and were irritated.
