Room was not maintained. Door handles broken, shelves missing out of refrigerator. Room partially painted. Nothing in ad indicated hotel was inder constfuction. Water stains in common area ceilings as well as ceiling missing due to water damage. I would not recomend anyone to stay there

The beds were so comfy. Housekeeping missed a piece of bread left over from another guest. Housekeeping kept knocking on the door before check out time.

There were many things not in working order: the pool, one of the fitness machines, the room keys. There was a not so pleasant smell in the lobby/halls.

I’ve stayed here numerous times before using Expedia. This property has really declined and is in bad shape and the desk clerk was very unaccommodating and rude when I checked in.

First room TV did not work. Second room had not been cleaned. Third room HVAC unit was very noisy. Fourth room TV stand was broken but we stayed in that room anyway. Very poor maintenance. And pool was still not open.

Everything was good except it was too hot in the room and it was uncomfortable. Found out they control the thermostat so they can keep the electric bill low.

In a sea of expensive hotels, Sleep Inn and Suites is more reasonably priced, but they don’t skimp on service or quality. Our room was nice, the bed was comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

This Hotel is a crap shoot
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past several years. The first 3 visits were great. The 4th visit, there were 18-wheelers parked in the back parking lot with their motors running all night, making it impossible to sleep. This year I decided to give them another try. Huge mistake! Upon arrival, I was told room was not ready but was given key cards. I came back 30 minutes later and was allowed to go to the room. I had requested top floor on the non-highway side of the hotel. Room was top floor but directly facing the highway. Made 3 different trips back to the front desk because the key cards would not open the door to the room. After the clerk let me in with his key. I turned on the TV, which also did not work. I called the desk several times and there was no answer. I assume the clerk was away letting other guests into their rooms because their key cards didn't work either. I had several tense conversations with the clerk. Eventually, they put me in another room, which looked like it was in need of complete renovation. Huge water stains all over the carpet that looked like there had been some sort of leak coming from the air conditioner. Read all reviews and pay close attention to the bad ones. I remember seeing one from a lady who had the same experience with the key cards not working. I called Choice Hotels customer service during this whole process, and they were totally unhelpful.

unfortunately we can not guarantee the request that are made due to not having the available. These issues are being worked on with the key cards but we cannot rush when the parts and technician come in. we hope you give us another chance in the future.

I wanted to like this place
Got to our hotel. The pool is closed for construction, so we couldn't even use it, and the pool was one of the reasons we booked here, as promising our 3 year old a swim at the end of the day makes a 12 hour car ride more bearable. Got into our room, and the toilet started making gurgling sounds, and then someone else's feces came up out of the bathtub drain along with lots of brown water and the toilet completely overflowed on its own without us ever using it. The carpet was dirty and there was toothpaste marks on the sink in the bathroom. My husband went down to the front desk and they switched us rooms, I don't know if a refund was talked about but it was late so moving hotels would have stunk anyway. We were put in a room with an adjoining room, which worked fine. One of the bathroom lights didn't work so it was very dim in there, and the main light to one of the rooms didn't work either. The refrigerator made a loud rattling sound that made it so I couldn't even have it plugged in to keep our lunch for the next day cold. And the heater was also horrible loud. The beds were very comfortable though. Breakfast closed at 9 but they had yogurt which was nice. Coffee was good. Staff was all very friendly.

The glass window in our room had been punched from the outside so it was completely shattered. It was double paned so the inside wasn't broken out but was shattered and unsafe.There was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling and we could hear water dripping. Blood stains on the mattress. The TV did not work nor did the AC and there was no phone. Breakfast was ice cold as well. Worst stay I've ever experienced.

Overall we had a great stay. Unfortunately our room Keys didn’t work and when we asked the front desk for new ones they just came upstairs to open our door with the master as the key card machine apparently didn’t work well. The room was comfortable and the front desk gentleman was very nice, however, it was inconvenient to have to ask to be let in our room any time we both left.

On Dec 21, 2023 I arrived at Sleep Inn & Suites West Medical Center, Amarillo, Texas to stay one night at a reserved room. I checked in, got two key cards from the desk clerk who said his name was Donny, and proceded upstairs. After trying both keycards numerous times, I hauled my suitcase back down to the lobby. I told Donny that the keycards didn't work, expecting that there might have been a mistake in coding them. He told me that the key cards were crap, and sometimes guests had to try up to twenty times to get them to work. He said he would re-code them, but that was just the way it was. I said I was not looking forward to hauling my suitcase up and down. Instead of trying to be helpful, he straightaway said that if I wanted, I could find somewhere else to stay. I had driven all day and did not want to start searching for another hotel, so I put up with what has to rank as the most rude, unhelpful clerk I have ever had to deal with. I considered reporting him to the hotel manager, but I had to get up early the next morning to continue my trip. I was going to let this go, until... Until I received my credit card bill, and discovered that I have been billed twice for my one night stay. Do not do business with this hotel. The staff are incredibly rude, and the either careless or blatantly dishonest.

Had to move rooms 3 times. Television and phone in first room didn’t work, second room only had one bed (there were 4 of us), and third room needed pin codes to unlock channels, and the front desk person did not have them. We were never apologized to or offered any compensation for the inconveniences.
