Each time I wanted a bottle of water, a quick call to the reception got me a couple to the room. Most places were not giving their residents any extra bottles from the one left in the room. This is crucial because there are not too many convenience stores for finding waters.
They arranged a cab for us to take to the airport, not only did the taxi show up on time but it was clean and a quick drive to the airport. Great connection.
Also, the best part was how quiet the room was considering how you're across from the Capital building. Was able to get a coffee in seconds from the room.
I frequently travel to S. France and do so through Toulouse. The city is great and this hotel is unbeatable for location, efficiency, helpful and FRIENDLY staff. Thus I schedule my stay here whenever I can. I stayed at the "Carmen" room this time around. The rooms are a bit old, which is part of the hotel's charm from my view, but the curtains were a bit worn and the Nespresso machine (another part of the hotel's charm, if minor, from my view) did not work -- to my disappointment. Fortunately, there are coffee and cookies at the lobby. I have not tried their signature (Michelin 1-star) restaurant, but have often tried their Brasserie. Still good but perhaps the service was competent but more casual, not to say aloof/contemptuous/borderline/sultry than previous visits. My French language skills are high-intermediate, but this time around I was not with my wife, and French restaurants in general tend to be borderline rude when one has the audacity to request seating for "un seul couvert". It's just that, well, this is a hotel rest, and they can figure some of their guests will be traveling alone and for a high end hotel perhaps wish to do better for dinner than the corner pizzeria. Nor is it cheap... so be nice! Never mind, the hotel is overall very pleasant. Next time I will likely be there, and be with my wife, and the waiters will therefore likely be accomodating and courteous.
Very nice hotel, with an interesting aviation past. It has been remodelled inside in a "boutique hotel" sort of way. The hotel looks great, but there are some very strange design features, such as tiny closets that are not deep enough to properly hang a clothes hanger, beautiful but uncomfortable chairs in the reception/lounge area, and halls that are very dimly lit.
The location is perfect, a few seconds from the main square. Cleanliness is perfect. most staff are friendly (but don't mess with the room key system). It's good value for money.
BUT, the bathroom was ridiculously tiny: there really wasn't room to sit on the toilet! Not was there room to dry oneself after a shower (the shower itself was tiny, though the water flow was fine), only 2hotels were provided. There is no aircon, so it can be warm in summer.
We would stay here again, but only for a couple of nights at the most.
I enjoyed my one night stay at Hotel Albert 1er, thanks to very friendly personnel welcoming me at the hotel and being pro-active in helping. A very nice breakfast (worth it and absolutely recommended) helped me in coping well my early morning wake-up call. No doubt I will return here for my future trip (quality/price). The room was quite small but very cosy and with character. The complimentary Wi-Fi worked ok after a couple of trial.
The sheet very slightly scented and the bathroom/shower very clean and functional.
I felt in South of France since the building and the decor is very much authentic!

I used this hotel after moving out of my apartment because it was cheap and very close to where I lived. The hotel lobby is nice but that seems to be where the hotel remodel finished. We stayed in what I thought was a not the base level room. It would have been ok for a single but not a couple. There was door on the bathroom and the bed was the type that was butted/built against the wall. The mattress for the best quality and you could feel some of the springs with linen from the 70s. The reason for anyone to stay at this hotel is it is cheap and close to Capitole.

This unpretentious, reasonably priced hotel has been a favorite for many years. My friends and I have always found it a reliable and friendly place to stay. Its location is a major advantage--easy parking, a few minutes' walk to sights and sites of the heart of the city.

A really good stay for the price you pay. Nice big bed, good tv, 2 plug points, good size bathroom. Reception man was very helpful in finding bus/metro routes to various destinations.
The only cons are that there was a mirror on the wall just as you open the door which, perhaps just me, makes you jump like 'who's that in the room!!....oh its me'.
And also the air conditioning only went down to 17 degrees C and considering it was 30 outside, it would have been nice to go down to 9 or 10.

Comfy beds. Put in different room to that ordered as hotel thought one ordered would be noisy on saturday night - it would have been. We were happier higher up where there was more natural daylight. Toulouse buildings are usually five storey.
Woken by noise from building work next door on 2nd and 3rd morning of stay. not hotel's fault but i would not have wished this. Building work is finite i presume - renovatinghotel next door.
Exdellent location, and tranquil apart from current next door building works.
I would go there again.
Staff were very helpful.
