5 stars Hotels in Mikonos Island

My family went in October, 2011 during a very quiet period on Mykonos. We virtually had the beach to ourselves and had amazing great weather - upper 20s (in F roughly the low 80s) each day. Service was great at the hotel, Capelayo Restaurant and on the beach. We never used any of the spa services but used the pool which is a bit small if you are used to large hotel style amenities but our children really enjoyed swimming there in the late afternoons. Every day was spent exclusively on the beach which is a short walk from the hotel (100 meters). The nearby beach is safe for swimming and amazingly clean water. A bit rocky and some trash that is occasionally seen - no one was picking it up when we were there. Maybe the only small complaint is that the hotel is located across the street from the beach but that appears to be the norm in Greece. Not a major issue but most resorts in other parts of the world are right on the beach with no road to cross. I would recommend the hotel very highly especially in the slow season if you have young children.

Really enjoyed our stay - were looking for a small boutique hotel and it was what we got. Very helpful staff specially Viola and Emilia. Less than 5 mins walk to beach - wide and quiet beach. Food options apart from hotel are walking distance including taverna and larger restaurants. Really pleased with our choice and other reviews very helpful.

Great overall experience at the hotel. Very pleasant and helpful staff, all English speaking. Great reception upon initial arrival at the hotel. Location was perfect for us. The hotel is located outside of the main town of Mykonos but is a very short bus ride away. What we liked most about the location was the very short walk to Psarou Beach and Platys Gialos beaches. The private pool was to have out our back balcony.

from beginning to the end, all the stuff and the owner of the hotel did great everything for us. I think it was the best hotel of the island. Everyththing- Rooms, retaurant, spa , swimming pool, beach etc. was perfect. Roomservice, airport transfer, reception , all stuff are very good. everyboyy was so hospitable, friendly and genially. we all say with my wife and friends " Kivotos, Ornos, Mikonos is the best of ever."

I picked the hotel becaus of previous reviews and price, and it realy worth every penny you pay. All Rooms has view to sea, the breakfast Buffet is very rich and delicious, the swimming pool is great with outdoor jaquozi and hotel has private beach so no extra charges for beach kids will enjoy the facilities also it is safe area to discover the hills near by. although the hotel is next to the ambasador hotel (the same chain) on map, but actly it is on Elia beach and has a diffrent road, it is about 10km from down town, again hote has shuttle bus to down town with limited time schedual SO I stronly advise that you add a small car rental to your booking and has no worries of taxis since they are limmited and could be an issue during high season to get transportation, Parking is free. PS. there is no shops close to hotel on walking distance so having car rental is not bad idea at all.

Lovely location near to a number of lovely beaches but out of the hussle. Only 10 minutes bus ride to Mykonos old town so best of both worlds.

My daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a wonderful stay. Wold not change a thing. Picked us up at airport, had a lovely sunset dinner by the sea and the beauty continued. Beautiful private beach, amenities and so very peaceful. Wonderful buffet brunch each morning overlooking the sea. Will stay again next visit which will,probably be next year.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days all the staff were helpful professional and the service was excellent . We have stayed in many hotels in Europe but this has to be one of the best stayed in. The views from hotel are best on Island
