"Super lux"
After traveling for six weeks this hotel was amazing to stay in the night before a flight to the States. The bed was incredibly comfortable and I slept so well! The hotel staff was very friendly and always said hello when we walked by in the hallways. The location was easy to get to, just a few blocks from the tram stop. It was also right on the canal in a beautiful area. I would definitely stay there again.

"Fab hotel"
Really enjoyed our stay here. The building is really interesting and as it's a new hotel it's in great condition. Amazing big beds, huge shower and bath and all in a standard room. Staff were lovely. We stayed there while it was my birthday and they left us a voucher for 2 free cocktails at the bar to celebrate my birthday. Such a nice touch. We will definitely be staying here when we go back to Amsterdam.

"Nice hotel 20 minute tram ride to town centre"
At first we were not sure about the location as we thought it was a strange area to have this this type of hotel. After going into town we decided that we would rather do the bus journey to and from the hotel as it was so busy in the town centre. There is an excellent bus service, the number 69 from Schipol airport which stops almost outside the hotel and is only 2.80 euros, very much a bargain. We bought a 48 hour travel card at the reception desk which we paid 12 euros and can use as much as you like on the public transport system. We also used our travel card to take the bus back to the airport. It didn't take long to get to the centre of Amsterdam on the tram. We couldn't fault the hotel at all, the staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was spotless, the breakfast was very good. All in all the hotel was very good value for money.

"Amsterdam birthday getaway"
What a great hotel and lovely staff! We had a problem with our bathroom extractor on first night which was resolved quickly and efficiently. Everyone made us feel very welcome and we even had a complimentary bottle of wine sent up for hubby's birthday. Would highly recommend hotel.

"Good hotel 10mins by bus from centre."
Very friendly and helpful staff at the hotel. Room was good, comfortable bed and pillows, really lovely bathroom and shower. Food in the restaurant was enjoyable, at a reasonable price. Getting around Amsterdam was easy on frequent buses and trams. Enjoyed seeing the Light Festival from canal boat, although had expected a bit more of it. To see Amsterdam at night from the canal was worth doing. If visiting Anne Franks House book on-line well before. We had skip-the-line tickets, but the queue outside had a three hour wait in the cold. A regional bus ride took us to Volendam on the coast. Lots of restaurants, souvenir shops and cheese-making factory made it a worthwhile visit. Again booked on-line for Van Goph Museum, which was a bus and tram ride from hotel, as this was a popular tourist activity. If the play "Anne" (Franks) is still on at the nearby theatre, this is well worth seeing. It is in Dutch language but you can have an English translation on earphones and subtitles on I-pad provided. The stage setting was marvellous.

"Great value hotel + easy bus route to town centre"
Cost of hotel was very reasonable for a "king room". Free airport shuttle & wifi, fridge in room and M & S store next door were what made us choose this hotel. Tea and coffee making facilities in room (staff happy to supply more sachets when we ran out) shampoo, soap and shower gel provided, ice machine on ground floor, and there's even a small lift so you don't have to struggle up the stairs with your luggage We used the bus from just up the road from the hotel to get to the town (cross over the road in front of the BP garage, walk to the right and keep walking until you get to the bus stop - about 5 minutes walk) bus 197, which actually runs all the way from the airport to the town. This bus is run by a separate company to the main buses in the town, so we didn't buy a saver ticket as we didn't use any buses once in the town as everything was in walking distance. The bus from the hotel to the town costs 2.5 euros per person, but make sure you tell the driver where you are going on the way there and back so that they charge you the correct amount. You need Leidseplein on the way, and Anderlechtlaan (or just say to the Mercure Hotel!) on the way back. There is a BP petrol station right next door to the hotel with an M&S convenience store-good range of food and drink, we were able to buy cereals, milk, fruit, yoghurts, bread, jam etc so that we could self cater easily (we'd taken our own bowls, plates and cutlery with us with this intent!

"Nice Amsterdam Hotel"
Our quad room at the Blue Tower was great! It was the last two nights of our two-week trip and this hotel was comfortable and very clean and the staff was very helpful. It's a ways in to Amsterdam Centraal, but the distance gave us a chance to learn the tram system and see the city between the hotel and Centraal. A word of caution if you happen to be taking a taxifrom the Amsterdam Sloterdijk (sp?) train station... This hotel is very near that train station (like 5 minutes), yet our driver charged us 20 Euro for the trip - about twice what the fair should have been. We were unable to see his meter during the trip. The hotel staff confirmed that it should have cost only about 10 Euro. They accurately quoted a price for a taxi from the hotel to the airport (which is quite a distance), so we were pleased with that.

"Amazing hotel"
Hotel is located within walking distance to old city as well to any museums/attractions. 10-15 minutes to red district. Parking is secured, we payed 24euros for all day+night. Room was specious and modern as per photos. Bathroom mirror and floor was littebit dusty but other then that very clean. Bed are big and comfy -not to hard-not to soft - just perfect. Lady at reception was helpful and gave us Amsterdam map explaing what is near to hotel and marked hotel location which helped a lot as most of the streets look alike. Breakfast was served as a buffet but there was a lady asking if we would like fresh pancakes/scrambled eggs ect. It was the best breakfast I ever eat in hotel. I will definitely come back and recommend to friends.
