"To start with, when booking this stay we were not aware that this room was actually located at Villa La Estancia. Why was this called Beachside Escape? The room was nice but the balcony was shared with the larger unit next door. We were not aware of this and felt awkward using this space. We also felt that it could be a security risk. "We had a pleasant six-day stay at the Riu Vallarta. While our room was satisfactory, we did encounter several instances of roaches during our visit. The pool water was very hot, which made it challenging to fully enjoy given the humid weather conditions. The food was acceptable. The beach, however, was beautiful and impeccably clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the shows and parties organized by the animation team; they were truly excellent."
