Your day with a private hotel pickup between 8:30 AM and 9:00 AM. Whether you are staying in the historic streets of Stone Town or the beach resorts of Nungwi, a climate-controlled vehicle will transport you across the island's lush interior.

Upon arrival at Maalum, be greeted by a tranquil “jungle” atmosphere. The site is capped at a limited number of guests per time slot to preserve the environment and ensure your peace. After a brief orientation on the cave's history and its significance in Swahili culture, be provided with fresh towels, water shoes, and snorkelling gear.

Descend into the cave via safe, carved steps leading to a crystal-clear turquoise pool. Immerse yourself in the fresh, “healing” waters of the limestone cavern. The water is exceptionally clear, allowing you to see the intricate underwater rock formations and small, curious fish.

You will be asked to rinse off in the outdoor showers before entering the water; sun cream, perfumes, and lotions are prohibited to protect the delicate ecosystem of the cave.

Drawing from traditional Zanzibari techniques, the massage uses locally sourced coconut oils infused with island spices like cloves or lemongrass.
