What you can expect

Day 1: Ararat Valley, Jermuk, and Shaki Waterfall

Leave Yerevan and head south, crossing the fertile Ararat Valley. If the weather permits, enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Ararat, Armenia’s eternal symbol rising above the plains.

Continue into the dramatic Arpa River Gorge, climbing towards Armenia’s highlands. In the spa town of Jermuk, visit one of the country’s most iconic natural sights — Jermuk Waterfall, poetically known as “Mermaid’s Hair.” A powerful stream of water descends from basalt cliffs, creating a scene both elegant and wild.

After crossing the scenic Syunik Gate Pass, reach the thunderous Shaki Waterfall — Armenia’s most powerful waterfall, where water crashes down with raw energy, surrounded by open landscapes and mountain air. Return to Yerevan in the evening.

Day 2: Lake Sevan, Dilijan Forests, and Trchkan Waterfall

On the second day, head north. Your first stop is Lake Sevan, one of the world’s largest high-altitude freshwater lakes, often called the “Blue Pearl of Armenia.”

From Sevan, continue into the lush forests of Dilijan National Park, a complete contrast to the arid landscapes of the south — green, cool, and full of alpine serenity.

Hidden in the wilderness lies Trchkan Waterfall, Armenia’s highest waterfall. Remote, powerful, and untouched, it is a true reward for nature lovers and one of the most impressive natural monuments in the country. In the evening, return to Yerevan with memories of Armenia’s wild side — flowing water, deep gorges, forests, and mountain horizons.
