What you can expect

Explore one of the largest Mayan complexes in Guatemala on this day tour. Yaxha and Topoxte host a wealth of structures from the heyday of the ancient Maya, offering you a chance to explore the traditional world.

A pickup from your hotel brings you to the Yaxha archaeological park, located in the northeast of the Petén Basin region. The Mesoamerican city and nearby lake have retained their ancient name, which literally means blue-green water. A thriving ceremonial centre in its heyday, the complex includes more than 500 structures, including 40 stelae, 13 altars, 9 temple pyramids, and 2 ball courts.

Next, sail by the Yaxha lagoon to visit the archaeological site of Topoxte. At the conclusion of the tour, you are treated to a traditional Guatemalan lunch ahead of your return to Flores in the afternoon.
