Arrive in Fujikawaguchiko, a lakeside town in Yamanashi Prefecture sitting at the base of Mount Fuji. While the area draws visitors for its natural scenery, its local bar scene offers a quieter, more grounded side of the region.

Meet your guide, get your bearings in the area, and begin moving through the walkable pockets of bars and small drinking establishments that locals frequent after dark.

Your guide leads you on foot from one venue to the next, covering three bars over the course of the evening. Each stop is a distinct part of the local drinking landscape, from snug area spots to lively street-facing bars.

Order drinks and food at each venue, settling your own bill directly before moving on. The pace allows you to settle in at each place rather than rushing through.

By the end of the night, have sat across three different bars, tasted what the local drinking culture actually looks like in a Yamanashi town, and built a first-hand map of where the locals go. Leave with a concrete sense of Fujikawaguchiko’s after-dark character, shaped by the places you chose to drink in and the conversations you had along the way.
