This is a half-day tour (about five hours) and visits many of the highlights of Washington Island by travelling from the ferry dock to Schoolhouse Beach. Some sites you may visit are a lavender farm, Stavkirke Church, Jacobsen Museum, Farm Museum, Mountain Park Lookout Tower, Historic Island Dairy, and Nelson’s Hall.
Washington Island is a very unique place with its rural landscape and eccentric destinations. As we travel across the length of the island, we will stop to pick up lunch and often eat it at Schoolhouse Beach. You will visit many of the sites the island has to offer as well as take in the beauty of canopied roads and beautiful shorelines. This is a guided five-hour tour, so you will travel about 20 miles on the Segways. You will have plenty of stops so you won’t feel tired at the end of the day.
The price includes a return on the ferry to and from Washington Island, your choice of a box lunch (or restaurant lunch depending on the season), a Segway PT lesson, and a glide around the island. This is a great way to see the island for the first time or see it as you have never seen it before on this half-day guided tour.
