Discover the capital of the United States on a day excursion from New York and visit The People's House – A White House Experience, an innovative immersive experience inspired by the presidential residence.
Travel with a professional Spanish-speaking tour guide as you pass through the states of New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia until you reach Washington D.C. Along the way, you'll make a brief stop for breakfast before continuing past the Pentagon, the headquarters of the United States Department of Defence.
The first visit will be to the Arlington National Cemetery, where you'll see the gravesites of President John F. Kennedy and his family. You'll then continue past the Iwo Jima Memorial until you reach the National Mall, where you'll discover some of the capital's most iconic landmarks, including the Vietnam War Memorial, the Three Soldiers Monument, the Lincoln Memorial, the Reflecting Pool, and the Washington Monument.
The tour continues past the Federal Reserve, the Organisation of American States (OAS), and the headquarters of the International Red Cross before reaching the exterior of the White House, where you'll have time to take photographs of one of the world's most famous buildings.
Next, you'll experience one of the most special moments of the sightseeing tour with a visit to The People's House – A White House Experience. Explore interactive exhibits that tell the storey of the White House, discover the lives of presidents and their families, and learn about the work of those who are part of this historic institution.
The most eagerly awaited moment will be entering a full-scale replica of the Oval Office, where you can sit behind the presidential desk and take an unforgettable photograph. The little ones will also be able to recreate the iconic image of President John F. Kennedy with his son John John playing under the presidential desk.
Afterwards, you'll visit Ford's Theatre, where Abraham Lincoln was assassinated, tour the FBI area, and see the southern exterior of the United States Capitol.
You will have approximately 45 minutes of free time for lunch before starting the drop-off to New York.
Arrival in Manhattan is scheduled for around 8:00 PM, with the sightseeing tour ending in the Times Square area (42nd Street and 9th Avenue). If traffic and weather conditions permit, we'll make an additional stop in Weehawken, New Jersey, to enjoy one of the best panoramic views of the Manhattan skyline.
