Early morning pick-up from hotels in the Cusco Historic Centre between 4:00 and 5:00 am. We travel south of Cusco for about 1.5 hours to Cusipata, where we enjoy breakfast and have time for last-minute purchases such as snacks or warm clothing. After breakfast, we continue by vehicle to Phulawasipata (4,600 m), the starting point of the hike. Our guide provides instructions before beginning the 2-hour hike (4 km) through impressive Andean scenery, including glaciers, colourful valleys, llamas, and alpacas. We arrive at Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca – 5,036 m) for a guided explanation and free time to explore and take photos, with views of the majestic Ausangate Mountain. After the visit, we descend back to Phulawasipata, return to Cusipata for lunch, and then head back to Cusco. The tour ends around 5:00 pm at Plaza Regocijo.
