What you can expect
Your journey begins in Zimbabwe, where you’ll discover why this side is often called the most dramatic. A rainforest sustained by the spray leads you along shaded trails to 16 unique viewpoints, each revealing a new angle of the mighty Falls. From Devil’s Cataract to Main Falls and Rainbow Falls, the sheer power of the Zambezi will leave you in awe.
As you walk, your guide shares stories of the geology, wildlife, and legends of the river, including the tale of Nyaminyami, the River God. The roar of water, the mist rising into the sky, and the rainbows arching across the gorge create an unforgettable atmosphere.
Zambian Side – Up Close & Thrilling
Crossing into Zambia, the perspective shifts from wide panoramas to exhilarating close-ups. Here you’ll walk to the famous Knife-Edge Bridge, where the spray surrounds you in clouds of mist, rainbows dance in the air, and the gorge drops away beneath your feet.
In high-water season, the Zambian side is at its most powerful, while during the drier months, you can glimpse the rock formations of the basalt rock.
Victoria Falls Bridge – History Meets Adventure
The final highlight of your tour is the Victoria Falls Bridge, built in 1905 to connect Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Victoria Falls Railway Bridge spans over The Zambezi River 198 metres across the gorge, this bridge is both a historic engineering feat and an iconic viewpoint.
From here you’ll see the spray rising from the Falls upstream and the Zambezi swirling violently below. Your guide will share fascinating stories about its construction and its role in regional trade and travel. Today, the bridge is also a hub for adventure from scenic walks to bungee jumps and zip lines for the more daring.
