Our tour starts at a quintessentially Victoria donut shop, Empire Donuts, in the heart of city centre. Empire is known for its unique donuts in an intergalactic 50’s diner style shop. From there, we walk a short distance to a beloved coffee and donut spot in Victoria, passing some of the best restaurant locations (according to our guides!) along the way. Once caffeinated, we will make our way down to Government Street, taking in the Inner Harbour which includes the Empress Hotel and Parliament Buildings. As we weave our way back into city centre, we will eventually hit our third donut spot, a local ma and pop shop for delightful donuts. Finally, we will walk towards Chinatown and end at Friend and Family Bake in Fan Tan Alley. This bakery has numerous Filipino treats, including donuts, and if we are lucky, we can see these delicious treats being made. We can’t wait to show you this wonderful city in all its donut glory! We hope to see you soon!
Our sweet adventure kicks off at Empire Donuts on View Street. Dig into their brown butter toffee pecan donut, a guest favourite and a delicious first taste of everything this hand-picked tour has in store.
Next we head over to Discovery on Blanshard Street for round two, where light, fluffy crullers steal the show. One bite and you'll see why this local favourite made our list of the very best.
Then we stroll along Fort Street to Crust Bakery, home of fantastic cronuts and brioche donuts. Your guide shares stories of Victoria's Gold Rush days as you savour every flaky, buttery bite.
We finish past Market Square and through the Gate of Harmonious Interest into Canada's oldest Chinatown. In narrow Fan Tan Alley, Friends & Family Bake serves amazing Filipino-inspired treats like ube.
