Valley of Fire is located in the Mojave Desert, 58 miles Northeast of the Las Vegas Strip. This breathtaking valley is the oldest State Park situated in Nevada. The centrepiece of the park's attractions are the amazing sandstone formations that look like they are on fire when they are touched by the rays of the sun. The name Valley of Fire comes red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which were shaped from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago.
