Day 1: Travel to Uyuni
You will have to go to the bus station in Sucre around 9:30 PM.
Day 2: Uyuni - Salar de Uyuni We will meet you at the bus terminal in Uyuni and take you to our cafeteria for a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, we will head to the train cemetery, where you can explore the old locomotives and learn about their history. We will continue to the community of Colchani, known as the gateway to the Salar. Here you will have the opportunity to see local craft workshops and the old salt microprocessor. Then, we will continue our expedition to the impressive Salar de Uyuni, making brief stops to observe salt extraction, the “eyes of salt” and the Hotel de Sal Blanca, which currently operates as a museum and where even the furniture is made of salt. Finally, we will head to the famous Incahuasi Island, located in the centre of the Salar, where we can walk among enormous cacti, admire fossils of marine rocks and enjoy 360° panoramic views from the viewing point. At the end of the tour, we will return to the town of Uyuni.
