Your experience begins with a warm welcome and a refreshing traditional herbal drink. Take a moment to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the village, surrounded by greenery and fresh air.

Before cooking, you will walk through our garden and handpick fresh ingredients such as lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, chilli, and turmeric. This farm-to-table approach allows you to truly understand where Balinese flavours begin.

Next, you will learn how to prepare “Base Gede,” the traditional Balinese spice paste that forms the heart of many dishes. Using a stone mortar and pestle, you will grind fresh spices in the traditional way, guided by a local host who will share stories and insights into Balinese culinary culture.

Then, it’s time to cook. You will prepare a variety of authentic dishes such as chicken sate lilit, vegetable lawar, sambal matah, and pepes fish. Each step is hands-on, interactive, and designed for all skill levels.

After cooking, you will sit down and enjoy your meal in a relaxed garden setting, surrounded by nature. This shared dining experience reflects the warmth and togetherness of Balinese family life.
