Your morning starts with a classroom briefing where your PADI-certified instructor covers the fundamentals — breathing through a regulator, equalising, and underwater hand signals. Then we gear you up and head to the pool to practice skills in shallow water at your own pace. After a lunch break, you board the dive boat and head to Key Largo's coral reef — the only living barrier reef in the continental US. You'll complete two guided reef dives with your instructor, exploring coral formations, tropical fish, and marine life. The programme wraps up around 5 PM. On days when sea conditions prevent boats from going out, we dive at Jules' Undersea Lodge lagoon — a protected mangrove lagoon with a unique underwater habitat. You will need your own transport between the dive shop, pool site, and marina — they are a few minutes apart. You cannot fly or travel to high altitude until at least 18 hours after diving — no flights until the following day. All participants must be able to swim and must complete a PADI medical questionnaire. If you answer "yes" to any question, a signed doctor's release is required.
