Your evening begins at our Northern Lights Safari base, where your guide—trained through our Aurora Guide Training Programme—explains the plan for the night.
This moment is important: the Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon, and no one can control the final outcome. What we can guarantee is the highest possible chance by using expert knowledge, real-time cloud data, and years of experience to choose the best direction for clear skies.
We believe clear expectations make for the best experience. This is a true Arctic adventure, and each night is different. Sometimes we stay close to Tromsø, and sometimes we drive far into the fjords or even across the border to find clearer skies. To make the journey more comfortable, you’ll travel in a warm, modern vehicle with a toilet on board—a small but important comfort during a long safari night.
At our viewing location, we set up a cosy Arctic camp with hot drinks, biscuits, and thermal suits to keep you warm. Your guide shares stories, Aurora science, and behind-the-scenes glimpses from our upcoming Northern Lights Safari TV series—giving you a rare insight into the world of real Aurora hunters.
When the lights appear, your guide helps you experience the moment fully and captures professional photos of you under the Aurora. Each guest can also request our Northern Lights Safari Official Certificate, marking your achievement and welcoming you into our growing Aurora community.
Throughout the night, we adjust our position if needed, always chasing the clearest skies. Your safety, comfort, and experience are our priority. This is why travellers choose us—and why we are known as the most trusted Northern Lights company in Tromsø.
Expect an honest, well-organized, expert-led adventure where nature decides the final show, but our experience gives you the best possible chance to witness it.
