At the start of the day, you will head north with your driver/live guide, crossing Chot El Gharssa. First visit to the oasis of Chebika: a marvel. With a local live guide, you will spend an hour trekking through the canyons, valleys, and natural springs. The guide (a Berber from the mountains) will explain to you in your language the history and traditions of the inhabitants of Chebika. Once your tour is over, you will be transferred to Midès, also guided by a local Berber live guide. You will be amazed by the majesty of this abandoned village, perfectly protected by a deep canyon, with rocks full of fossils of sea creatures from a distant geological era. Go on a one-hour walk in the canyon.
Lunch will be included at a family-run restaurant in Temegza.
To round off the morning, a visit to the Temegza waterfall is a must, as it is impressive in a desert of arid rocks. You can cool off under the water.
Head further south along a track in the salt lake, towards Ong Djemel. There is a mirage on the horizon, and you will cross white sand dunes until you see a ghost town in the middle of nowhere. This is the village of Mos ESPA for film lovers.
End the day there, admiring the reddish sun as it slowly sets over the dunes.
