The climb of 740 steps is optional and carries an additional cost, but those who make it to the top are rewarded with one of the most spectacular panoramic views in all of Colombia.
Next, we explore the colourful streets of Guatapé—its famous zocalos, vibrant murals, and charming boardwalk. It is one of the most photogenic towns in the country.
We then visit the replica of Old Peñol – a reconstruction of the original town that was submerged when the Guatape reservoir was built. A fascinating and emotional stop steeped in history.
After that, we will board a boat for a scenic cruise across the reservoir, passing by celebrity mansions and the legendary La Manuela—Pablo Escobar's former estate—while your guide shares the stories behind each landmark.
