Why is Asturias a principality? Why are the inhabitants of Oviedo called “carbayones”? Did you know that the Camino de Santiago was our “invention”?
An official tourist guide will accompany us through the most emblematic places of Oviedo–Uvieo to explore the most traditional aspects of its old town areas, where the medieval, the baroque, and the contemporary blend perfectly: the Plaza and market of El Fontán, Los Trescorrales, La Escandalera, the Palacio de la Rúa, the Church of San Isidoro, the colourful streets of Mon and Cimavilla, or the exterior of the Cathedral.
We will explore the old Oviedo through its gastronomy, its festivals and “folixes”, its history, and, most importantly, its people, recalling real-life figures such as Clarín, Doña Balesquida, or Pachu Barbés. What are you waiting for to join us?
