Just 1 hour from Toulouse, Carcassonne is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest fortified city in Europe. With its 52 towers, 3 km of ramparts, and centuries of history, it's a destination that leaves every visitor speechless.

Carcassonne — The Medieval Fortress (all day)
Walk through the legendary Porte Narbonnaise and immerse yourself in the heart of the Cité. Explore the Château Comtal, the fortress within the fortress, and stroll along the impressive double ramparts overlooking the Aude valley. Don't miss the stunning Basilique Saint-Nazaire, with its exceptional Gothic stained-glass windows — a true hidden gem inside the city walls. Wander through the medieval lanes, browse local artisan shops, and soak up the atmosphere at your own pace.
