What you can expect

  • Discover Oshino Hakkai, part of the Mt. Fuji UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its eight crystal-clear spring ponds fed by the mountain's melting snow. Traditional Japanese scenery and magnificent Mt. Fuji views make it one of the area's most picturesque destinations.

At Oishi Park, enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko. The 350-metre Flower Road features seasonal blooms, from spring tulips and summer lavender to bright red kochia in autumn.

Lake Kawaguchiko, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, offers beautiful scenery throughout the year, with cherry blossoms, summer greenery, autumn colours and snowy winter views. Stroll along the peaceful lakeshore, take photos and look out for Mt. Fuji's reflection on the water. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant overlooking Mt. Fuji, followed by free time to browse local specialities at Kawaguchiko Craft Park, a short walk from the lakeshore.

Choose from two Yamanashi specialities for lunch: Koshu Wine Beef Steak, made with premium beef from cattle fed a diet that includes local grape pomace, or Houtou Noodles, thick noodles simmered in a hearty miso broth with vegetables and chicken.

Stop at LAWSON Kawaguchiko Station, a popular photo spot where the blue convenience store sits beneath the majestic backdrop of Mt. Fuji, creating a distinctive blend of modern Japan and natural beauty.

Visit Arakurayama Sengen Park, home to the famous five-storey Chureito Pagoda. The pagoda and Mt. Fuji form one of Japan's most iconic views, framed by cherry blossoms in spring, lush greenery in summer, colourful foliage in autumn and snowy scenery in winter. Nearby, Fujiyoshida Honcho Street offers another celebrated view of Mt. Fuji rising above a traditional shopping street.
