Starting from the iconic Arch of Galerius (Kamara), we walk together through cobblestone streets towards the Byzantine Walls — a UNESCO World Heritage site that reflects over 23 centuries of Thessaloniki’s history. We pause along the way to capture the colourful traditional houses, a living heritage preserved in the old town, and wander through hidden gardens known mostly to locals.

Our photowalk focuses on the places themselves, not on reciting historical dates, and gives you the chance to experience the sunset charm of Thessaloniki through the lens of your smartphone, camera, action camera or DSLR.

We move at a relaxed, unhurried pace, capturing the stories, shadows and colours of the city’s layered soul around every corner. We then reach Trigonio Tower, which offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views over the Thermaic Gulf.

We walk along the Byzantine Walls and witness Thessaloniki as it once was — the local life and the narrow streets behind the walls, filled with atmosphere, scents, and visual moments.

(Optionally) we stop for a cold local beer or cocktail, sit together, and watch the sunset unfold over the sea and the city, until daylight fades and we begin our walk back towards the city centre.
