The Hamburg Dungeon is a unique and exciting attraction in the heart of Hamburg’s famous Speicherstadt that takes real thrill-seekers into Hamburg's dark past. On a crazy journey back in time to the bad old days, terrifyingly true stories and dark characters from the last 600 years are brought back to life.
Professional actors, historical settings and terribly outdated costumes transport visitors back into the dark times of the Hanseatic city in action-packed live shows. Based on true stories, characters from bygone days resurrect to tell their tales with a mixture of humour and horror in 360 degree sets. Everyone involved will experience the most horrible fun of their lives!
Among other unfriendly hosts, the torturer welcomes suspicious villagers inside his Chamber of Torment. He has a lot of fun trying out his tools and methods to find out the truth. During the time of the Inquisition, defendants must confess their sins and the judge wants to hear all dirty details. Who will get pulled up into the dock to confess their crimes. Another adventure awaits brave companions at the port of Hamburg: The crew is on their way to free the notorious pirate Klaus Störtebeker and to fight the Hanseatic League. In other shows such as the “Revenge of Maria Katharina Wächtler”, the “Plague Hospital” and “Santa Fu”, visitors experience scary fun to die for. At the end of the journey, the lucky survivors will take a seat in Hamburg’s unique freefall tower to escape the depths of the dungeon – good luck!
