What you can expect

At 8:30 AM, we will warmly welcome you at the Almanegra Café in Roma Norte or at 9:00 AM at Café 1401 in Colonia Juarez. As a courtesy, both groups will receive a speciality coffee to start their adventure on a flavourful note and hipster people mode.

The journey to the Teotihuacan Valley takes approximately an hour, and along the way—traversing through Indios Verdes and Ecatepec—your guide will share intriguing stories about urban life and innovative public transport initiatives, like hanging cable cars that aim to connect commuters and weave a fascinating social fabric in the city.

Upon reaching Teotihuacan, your guide will unveil four layers of stone and history—from 100 B.C. to 650 A.D.—reminding us that customs, traditions, and goods are the threads that weave our cultural identity.

Next, we will explore a special area known as “The Temple of the Ancient Masters of Mural Art,” a patio-palace currently under investigation by INAH. This historic workshop once bustled with artistic activity and still reveals traces of legendary artists like Diego Rivera, who helped breathe life into Mexico’s most influential 20th-century art movement — the “Mexican Muralism” — whose roots are deeply embedded in hidden stories.

At midday, just ten minutes from the pyramids, Erica’s house opens its doors to serve a mestizo cuisine that embodies the essence of Teotihuacan’s ancient and contemporary flavours.

Finally, we’ll return you to the same meeting point where we picked you up, or, if convenient, to your hotel or Airbnb—especially during the rainy season.
