What you can expect

Discover our winery and learn about its history on a guided tour. You will explore our vineyards and out private cellars, At the end you will experience our wines. The winery was founded in 1950 by Silvio Nardi, who had fallen in love with Casale del Bosco. Located on the north-west side and immersed in the woods, the estate was and still remains an oasis of peace and splendid views. In 1958 the first bottle of Brunello “Casale del Bosco” was released on market. The love for Montalcino and the passion for its generous fruits led Silvio Nardi to acquire another estate in 1962 on the south-east side of the appellation. Manachiara with its different and
complementary characteristics to those of Casale del Bosco, adds richness and elegance to the wines. In 1967 Tenute Silvio Nardi was one of the 17 wineries that founded “Consorzio del Brunello”, a free association of Montalcino producers, aimed at safeguarding the typicality and uniqueness of what that would become the first Italian wine to receive the DOCG in 1980.
Today Tenute Silvio Nardi continues to carry forward that message of uncompromising quality that has been distinguished it since its foundation.
