Join us for a full-day guided hiking tour in the Anaga Mountains, a protected UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Tenerife. This experience combines hiking, scenic drives, and deep immersion in nature, offering a balanced mix of adventure, landscapes, and local heritage.
We pick you up from your accommodation in the southern or eastern coastal areas and begin our journey towards the lush north of the island. After reaching the Anaga Mountains, we continue driving through the forests, sharing insights about the local climate and landscapes, before arriving at the starting point of our introductory walk. From there, we begin a short scenic walk of about 25–35 minutes to enjoy the views and truly feel the atmosphere of the Enchanted Forest,. Depending on the cloud cover, you may catch distant views of Mount Teide or find yourself surrounded by the mysterious clouds that often blanket the laurel forest.
After exploring the Enchanted Forest, we travel by vehicle towards the starting point of the main hike, enjoying the scenery along the way. On the road, we pass a small cliffside cave village that is still inhabited today. From the trail, it is hard to believe that these homes — partly carved into volcanic rock — remain in everyday use, offering a glimpse into traditional life in the region.
The hike then begins. The trail reveals sweeping views, ascents and descents across forested hills and volcanic ridges, creating a constantly changing landscape. You will walk along narrow paths winding across rocky ridgelines, open forest slopes and valleys before reaching a historic water channel, now mostly dry except after rare heavy rains.
Throughout the tour, your guide shares stories about the region’s past and present in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We take a relaxed picnic break in nature — either on a hilltop or inside a large cave with canyon views, depending on conditions and group preference.
Near the end of the route, the trail includes a short but physically demanding final climb. This rewarding challenge offers a strong sense of accomplishment and memorable views at the top.
At the end of your adventure, you will receive 20–30 digital photos taken throughout the day — a lasting memory of your time in Tenerife’s most atmospheric mountain region.
This tour is suitable for solo travellers, couples, families, and small groups of friends. It works equally well for experienced hikers and for travellers who have never hiked before but are in good general physical condition and enjoy active experiences outdoors.
