Overview

  • Discover Tarquinia, known as Corneto until 1922, on a self-guided walking tour of its medieval centre. Eight stops take you along one easy line from west to east, from the Romanesque church of Santa Maria in Castello to the old town walls, passing towers, churches and palaces on the way. An audio guide tells the storey behind each place, and quizzes along the route keep it playful. The route is about 1 km and takes around 90 minutes at your own pace.
