Embark on a guided tour of the Historic Silver Mine in Tarnowskie Góry, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the educational centre located in the surface building above the shaft. Learn about the history of ore mining in Tarnowskie Góry, methods of extracting silver, lead, and zinc, and the operation of historical dewatering systems.

Descend 40 metres underground to explore a labyrinth of tunnels, pass through transport galleries of varying heights, and admire impressive chambers carved in dolomite rock, created at the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries.

Discover the mine’s unique triangular layout, connecting three historic shafts: “Angel”, “Viper”, and “God Bless”. Experience the raw underground conditions, with low temperatures and high humidity, as you learn about the region’s industrial heritage.

One of the highlights of the tour is a boat ride along a 270-meter section of an underground river, running between the shafts “God Bless” and “Viper”. Along the way, encounter various species of fungi and lichens, as well as rare natural phenomena, including the only sinkhole of its kind in Europe located within a former mine.
