Discover the timeless elegance of Taormina, a beloved jewel of Sicily perched above the Ionian Sea, where history, beauty, and refinement converge in a setting unlike any other.
Accompanied by an expert local guide, begin your leisurely walking tour through the heart of Taormina, once a retreat for European aristocrats and artists. Stroll along Corso Umberto I, the town’s elegant main promenade, lined with refined boutiques, historic palazzi, and charming cafés.
Step into a world of Greco-Roman heritage as you visit the magnificent Ancient Theatre of Taormina — one of the most celebrated archaeological sites in Italy. Framed by dramatic views of Mount Etna and the glittering sea below, this still-active amphitheatre remains a breathtaking testament to the town’s cultural grandeur. Venture off the beaten track to discover Porta Catania, Vicolo Stretto — the narrowest street in Europe — and the enchanting Villa Comunale Gardens, once a private residence of a Scottish noblewoman. Here, lush Mediterranean flora and sculpted terraces offer moments of tranquility and panoramic splendour. Throughout the tour, your private guide will unveil Taormina’s layered history, from its ancient Greek origins to its Belle Époque glamour, adding depth and narrative to every step you take.
