What you can expect

The day starts with a drive out to Jägala waterfall, around 30 minutes from Tallinn on the edge of Lahemaa National Park. Jägala is Estonia's widest natural waterfall - it stretches across a limestone cliff and looks different in every season. In spring the flow is at its strongest; in winter parts of the waterfall freeze over.

After the waterfall, the tour returns to Tallinn for a guided 1.5-hour walking tour of the Old Town. The route covers both Lower Town and Upper Town, with visits to key landmarks including the Estonian Parliament, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, Town Hall Square, and the viewing platforms on Toompea Hill.

Your guide explains Tallinn's history from its medieval founding as a Hanseatic trading city through the Soviet period to modern independence. The Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved medieval city centres in northern Europe.

Pick-up and drop-off are available from the Tallinn Tourist Information Centre or the Cruise Ship Terminal.
