What you can expect

Discover two of England’s most iconic landmarks on this full-day tour from London to Stonehenge and Windsor. Travel in comfort by coach and explore centuries of British history, from the mysterious prehistoric stone circle of Stonehenge to the royal residence of Windsor Castle.

Enjoy a scenic drive through the English countryside as your guide shares fascinating stories about Britain’s heritage. This convenient day trip allows you to visit two of the country’s most celebrated destinations in one day, with comfortable transport and expert commentary throughout your journey.

Stonehenge

Your first stop is the world-famous Stonehenge, one of the most remarkable prehistoric monuments in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dating back more than 4,500 years, this mysterious stone circle continues to intrigue historians and archaeologists.

Walk around the iconic stones and learn about the many theories surrounding their construction and purpose. You will also have the opportunity to explore the visitor centre and exhibitions. (Entry to Stonehenge is included when the entry option is selected.)

Windsor

Continue to the historic town of Windsor, located on the banks of the River Thames and home to the magnificent Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world.

Windsor Castle has been an official residence of British monarchs for over 900 years and was the beloved weekend home of Queen Elizabeth II. Visitors choosing the castle entry option can explore the magnificent State Apartments and the historic St George's Chapel, where several British monarchs are buried, including Queen Elizabeth II.

You will also have time to wander through Windsor’s charming streets filled with traditional shops, cafés and historic buildings. (Entry to Windsor Castle is included when the entry option is selected.)

From Windsor, it is a short journey back to London where our adventure finishes. It’s a day that blends ancient wonder with royal splendour, brought to life by a guide who knows how to turn history into a great storey.
