What to Expect:
Your beginner’s stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) adventure begins at Malta Surf School.
Arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled lesson to meet your friendly instructor and get ready for the experience.
Welcome and Safety Briefing
Start with a warm welcome and a quick introduction to SUP basics.
Your instructor will explain the equipment, teach essential paddling techniques, and provide tips on how to balance confidently on the board.
Safety is a priority, so you'll also learn what to do in case you fall off.
Practice on the Beach
Before hitting the water, practice your stance and paddling technique on the sand. This hands-on introduction ensures you're comfortable with the movements before stepping onto the board.
Time to Paddle
Head into the calm, clear waters where your lesson truly begins.
Start in a kneeling position as you get a feel for the board, then gradually move to standing under the guidance of your instructor.
You'll paddle along the beautiful Maltese coastline, surrounded by stunning views of the sea and sky. Along the way, you'll learn to turn, stop, and adjust your pace, all at a relaxed and beginner-friendly rhythm.
Explore and Enjoy
Once you've mastered the basics, enjoy some free paddling time. Glide across the water, soak in the scenery, and experience the peacefulness of being on the open sea. Your instructor will stay close by to offer support and capture a few candid photos of your experience.
Important Notes:
All equipment is provided, including a SUP board, paddle, safety leash, and life jacket.
Wear swimwear, bring a towel, and apply sun cream before the session.
