What you can expect

Day 1: The Heart of the Empire (The Small Circuit)
Focus: Iconic Architecture & Spiritual Grandeur
08:30 AM | Hotel Pick-up
• Angkor Wat: Begin your journey at the crown jewel of Khmer architecture. Your guide will lead you through the world’s largest religious monument, explaining the 800-meter-long bas-reliefs and the cosmic symbolism of its five lotus towers.
• Angkor Thom & Bayon: Enter the “Great City” through the monumental South Gate. At its centre stands Bayon, where over 200 massive stone faces gaze down with enigmatic smiles.
• Ta Keo: A brief stop at this “temple-mountain.” Unique for being unfinished, its raw green sandstone provides a fascinating look at ancient construction methods.
• Ta Prohm (The Jungle Temple): Witness the incredible power of nature. Giant silk-cotton trees and strangler figs grow directly out of the ruins, creating the atmospheric “Indiana Jones” aesthetic the site is famous for.
• Banteay Kdei: End the day at this peaceful “Citadel of Chambers.” This sprawling monastic complex is less crowded, offering a quiet space to reflect on the day’s history.

Day 2: Legends & Landscapes (The Grand Circuit)
Focus: Hidden Gems, Island Temples & Sunset Vistas
• Banteay Samre: Start the morning at this “Mini Angkor Wat.” Because it is tucked away from the main crowds, you can appreciate its intricate Hindu carvings in near-perfect solitude.
• Preah Khan (The Royal Sword): Explore this sprawling labyrinth that once served as a university and temporary capital. It is a fusion of history, moss-covered stone, and towering trees.
• Neak Poan: Walk across a scenic wooden boardwalk over a vast reservoir to reach this unique island temple, once believed to have healing waters.
• Ta Som & East Mebon: Visit the photogenic eastern gate of Ta Som (held together by a sacred fig tree) before heading to East Mebon to see the remarkably well-preserved, life-sized stone elephants.
• Pre Rup (Sunset Finale): Ascend the tiers of this red-brick pyramid temple. As the day ends, watch the jungle canopy turn gold and the red laterite stone glow under the setting sun.
