We arrive in Edinburgh around 6:00 PM, giving you 3.5 hours of free time before the Edinburgh Military Tattoo at 9:30 PM. Soak up the lively festival atmosphere, explore the city, or enjoy a meal at one of Edinburgh’s excellent pubs or restaurants. Some guests choose to book tables at The Witchery by the Castle for its proximity to the event and unique ambiance. If you’d like to discover more, consider an Edinburgh city tour, but early booking is recommended. The Military Tattoo takes place against the stunning backdrop of Edinburgh Castle, with world-class performances by military bands, dancers, and pipers. We meet again around 11:30 PM at a designated point for our return journey to Greenock. The trip back takes approximately 1.5 hours, so we ask all guests to make a prompt exit from the event. This stop combines free time, cultural experiences, and an unforgettable evening in Scotland’s capital.
