The bell tower, known as the Leaning Tower of Pisa, is by far the most famous building within the "Piazza dei Miracoli.". Begun in 1173, the tower has been leaning since the beginnings of its construction and it is widely recognised as an outstanding feat of engineering. This spectacular monument can be enjoyed from the ground or by climbing the 273 steps to the top, where you will get a beautiful view over the surroundings.
